We begin with the end in mind. Branding is one of the single most important parts of running a successful company. What is branding? This question is likely to inspire a different response every time it’s asked. In reality, branding is the act of giving a company, person or organization; an image, a voice, a personality.

A company shouldn’t simply just have a logo that looks good, and a mission statement that the owner loves; it should have meaning and personality. The logo is a very important part of the brand as it’s usually the first visual, the first impression someone sees of the company. The logo should be something that is memorable and have some research, reason, and psychology behind it. Color theory is one of the single most important things. Certain colors create combinations of certain emotional responses, and it’s critical that a design have this education.

At GigaSavvy, branding is more than just a pretty logo. It’s a science, it’s an art, it’s a creative process that isn’t easy, and never should be.
